On July 26, 1982 Dick Fullmer opened Caro Rental to save the homeowner time and money by giving them the option to rent equipment and tools they needed sparingly.
Dick stocked his rental store with a complete line of party supplies for all occasions, equipment and tools to fit all plumbing and household needs, automotive tools, lawn and garden equipment and the tools for just plain “puttering” around with.
Dick also provided chain saws and log splitters, scaffolding ladders, cement mixers, airless paint sprayers, a complete line of plumbing needs, including trenchers, and light power trowels, compactors, concrete saws, breaker hammers, and others were welcomed rentals for contractors and Do-it-yourselfers.
Dick is a lifelong resident of Caro and a 1957 graduate of Caro High School. Following a stint in the U.S. Marine corps, he attended college and devoted 15 years working in the electrical trade field. He earned a business degree from MSU in 1970 and his M.B.A. in finance 6 years later.
Fullmer’s wife, the former Janet Beecher, is owner and operator of Jan’s Beauty Cottage. They have two daughters, Debbie Sue, and Bobbie Sue.
